Established in April 2000, Passenger Design has earned a reputation as a small but talented web design and development company producing simple, elegant and user-friendly web sites for small and medium sized businesses. Our combination of experience, personal interest and pride in our work means that we stay at the cutting edge of a fast-moving and often unpredictable industry.

Stuart Metcalfe

Stuart is our software programmer and developer. He is well versed in various internet technologies including XHTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and MySQL. In addition, he has some experience of Java GUI development, XML and web services using SOAP and REST.

Stuart is also a Unix/Linux fan and Open Source advocate. He follows progress on a number of community-managed Open Source projects and has personally contributed code and feedback to several of them.

Frances Metcalfe

Fran is our designer. She has a BA (Hons) Art and Design (3D) as well as further University qualifications in both Restoration & Decorative Studies and Computer Visualisation.

Before moving to Southsea she worked as a printer's layout artist in Cambridge.

Fran is also our client account manager and book-keeper, with many years of retail and clerical experience in both London and Cambridge.

Ray Metcalfe

Although not a member of staff at Passenger Design, Ray is our roving ambassador and man-about-town. He regularly represents us at various networking functions, and provides an invaluable service to the company.
